The Secret Formula for an Efficient Restaurant
I didn’t say anything and finished my week, but I was satisfied to have lived this experience. From then on, because it was the only way for me to create one of the best tools to improve our restaurant.
We usually focus on how to improve peak time and be more efficient when we have a line of customers waiting, such as managing the business under pressure or with little staff.
Which is perfect. But we rarely stop to see what part we are not seeing where there can be a great improvement.
While it is true that restaurants are usually open for many hours, there will always be times of low activity. These periods are crucial because they allow us to recharge our batteries and prepare for the next peak of work.
I call these moments “Reset Time.”
Here’s part of my list to inspire you:
- Deep cleaning: no crumbs, grease, or dirt.
- Garnishes, and extra glasses.
- Fully restock your workstation.
