- We need to get something rolling to be able to make mistakes
What I mean by this is that you need to have something that generates some kind of income to pay your bills.
- You’re an artist but a 2024 artist so be it.
That means you need to get involved with the patterns and trends that the world follows to make noise.
- You’re a creative person in silence and that’s the only way. Guess what? It’s not!
JUST if the sun is perfect in the window, just if you have that blue blanket “source of inspiration” on your legs, or if you have the black hoodie you only use for writing, or even worse, absolute control of your time to be able to get inspired…
Now let me answer you this with the harsh reality and although it may sound pessimistic, this post is actually quite positive, so read it all the way through to make sense of it.
I’m going from back to front: (I don’t know why)
3) Forget about your favorite outfit to write in, forget about your favorite mug to have coffee in, forget about your favorite t-shirt and of course forget about your favorite underwear for God’s sake.
Those are all superstitions and I know you know that, what you’ve suddenly forgotten is that those can be taken off in a day, in a minute, today.
How?
Stop creating them, stop thinking that everything flows to you on the days it flows is because of clothes that literally DON’T feel.
Embrace your inner minimalist and remember that you were born naked, with nothing, and that’s how you’re leaving. So it’s enough like that. If you have something in your ears and the internet to post or sell what you think you can contribute to the world, that’s enough.
Difficult, yes it is! But as soon as you start to know that that’s already passed, with a positive angle, let go of what you have and be grateful for the company and now let it go.
If you feel more comfortable that way, do it. But let it go. 2) It doesn’t mean that if you’re a serious writer, or your product is for an adult audience, I’m telling you to dance on TikTok to make it hit. No, your art doesn’t have to dig, because the good news is that there’s an audience for everything, so whatever you do, keep doing it. What I mean by this is that we live in a world where everything has to be more intuitive, faster, immediate results, time frames for results, who wins if they compare what you sell, in short… an aggressive audience because there are many people at the same time giving it to the same place called the internet, so the competition is fierce. Previously there weren’t so many suppliers or so much demand because the internet didn’t exist and people were limited to their city or country at most. Today you compete with the world in whatever you do. So, make all products with your customer in mind, not yourself. Don’t wait for the perfect moment to start what you want to do or your project, don’t quit to start your project. 3) I’ll tell you something from experience; When you close the income you open the door to worry and guess who turns off? Exactly, your creativity. Your mind goes into survival mode and that mind is not going to let you make well-thought-out decisions. Let the income continue and my advice is: The first stage is the hardest of all for any entrepreneur, you’re going to have a very hard time. Psychologically and physically, but always remember this in times of distress. Everything is a phase, and every phase passes. Embrace your project, enjoy your life and work hard for what you want.
