¡Hey!

Building Culture

By far the most important peace of the “table” and the reason, because is people

One of the most important things as clients: “I loved the vibe, the atmosphere was incredible.” One of the things that is least talked about, as a worker is how to maintain that environment.

Don’t worry, it’s okay that you are worried about numbers, about inventory, about how you lead, about seeing reservations, about seeing that everyone is working according to plan.

But may I tell you something? If you really want to take your restaurant to another level, you need to put this factor as main, like one of the legs of the table, and make it solid, accessible, replicable and repeatable daily.

Sarah’s, an extraordinary night…

It all started when they opened the door and welcomed me with a smile, with a smell and an energy of the place that I could not ignore, from there I went to the table, they pulled out my chair and took my coat.

As I sat down, they lit a fresh candle while the waiter introduced himself with a smile and shining eyes, as if the only thing that mattered to him at that moment was me and my husband.

I told him the “mood” we were in that night and he suggested a bottle of wine that “he thought” would be perfect with what we had ordered. Of course it was, throughout the evening he was very attentive, not cloying, but there for any need.

When I made my reservation I had mentioned to the host “that it was a special night, -nothing crazy to tell the truth, just a day without kids because my parents were in town, my husband was free and I wanted to dress up, feel pretty and catch up with my husband alone, you know, put the flame back” is always good to fuel everything….

The thing is that without mentioning anything, at the end, the waiter brought two Affogatos on the house and a simply perfect Creme Brulee. crust on top and soft and super creamy inside. anyways. just delicious…

At the end, the restaurant manager came over and we had a casual conversation between the three of us, applauding the great job that Jimmy – the waiter had done to make our dinner great and for the amazing place they had and maintained.

The manager was incredibly polite but at the same time very easy to talk to, he felt super familiar and turned the conversation into real laughter…so much so that we ended up seeing pictures of his kids and ours. A place I would return to, an Unforgettable Moment.

With the story of Sarah, a costumer who first met this place that night with her husband, and now a regular where she has celebrated her son’s 5th birthday and her other son’s 2nd birthday.

A place was created for Sarah in her mind and heart.

That comes with Real Hospitality.

And I think real hospitality can transform any kind of business and take it to another level. Hospitality that takes you from eating to living experiences in Sarah’s case, or hospitality that takes you from working to pay the bills to living out of passion for what you do.

It’s not just a product, it’s an experience.
